S&P and Nasdaq touched another daytime record levels

Rising oil prices supported energy stocks, persistent signs of the underlying strength of the US employment market, with a sharp decline in weekly unemployment claims, contributed to the ongoing high investor sentiment.

However, the gains remained horizontal, following earnings reports from investors in the context of justifying the current high valuations.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average near yesterday’s close levels sank 21,640 in the horizontal direction, the S&P 500 Index rose 2-points to 2,476, and the Nasdaq Composite Index rose by nearly 4 points to close to 6,400 psychological levels.
